The situation with the Coronavirus in China not only affected the operations on factories but also the schedule for hosting various large-scale exhibitions. Nevertheless, as of now, the forecast is quite optimistic.

Canton Fair

On the 21st of February, the China Ministry of Commerce held an online briefing on issues of foreign trade and investment. During the meeting, answering the question of a journalist whether the Spring Canton Fair will be postponed or canceled, Li Xingqian, director of the Ministry of Commerce foreign trade department, said that currently the preparation for the 127th Canton Fair is carried out in accordance with the plan.

For representatives of the corporate gifts industry, the 2nd part of the fair, which will be held as scheduled between the 23rd – 27th of April, is of utmost importance.

China (Shenzhen) International Gifts, Handicrafts, Watches & Houseware Fair

The dates of another large fair for professional manufacturers of corporate gifts, which takes place in a neighboring with Guangzhou town of Shenzhen, have also remained unchanged and the fair will be held from the 25th – 28th April according to the agenda.

Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair postponed

According to the statement from the fair organizers, the safety of the participants and visitors is a top priority. Therefore, in relation to the latest developments, it was decided that eight exhibitions that were usually held between the 6th and 30th of April, including the gifts fair, will be postponed to the 25th of July 2020. The fair will take place in The Hong Kong Exhibition Centre from the 25th to the 28th of July.
